Talent Request and Introduction


  • Include (1) head & shoulders photograph of contestant (Black & White preferably).  These can be a hard copy, on a disk, or e-mailed as an attachment.  All photographs should accompany the application information and are NOT returnable.

  • Mail a  copy of the contestant’s birth certificate or passport as proof of age

 You must provide documentation of residency, transcripts or
letter from employer depending on how you are entering.

What are the requirements of a contestant?

A young woman may compete at the local and state level more than once,

but may only compete in the national Miss America competition one time.

Eligibility is as follows:

  • High school graduate or equivalent by June 30th
  • Resident of Tennessee for the last six months
  • No younger than 17 at the time of the local competition
  • No older than 24 by December 31, 2008
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Female, never been married or pregnant
  • Registered as a full-time student within the State of Tennessee for at least six months

OR employed full time (minimum 32 hours per week) within the state of Tennessee

OR employed part-time (minimum 16 hours per week) and attend school part-time

(minimum 6 hours per week) for at least six months prior to the local competition date

 

    Application, fact sheet, platform questions, talent request and suggested introduction, photograph, and birth certificate and proof of eligibility are due: 
January 21, 2008
